The Structural Mesh
Jotunheim ceased to be support for Midgard, it became a mesh that sustains multiple worlds
Bridges were built. Connections expanded. Modular architecture extended. And then, in two thousand and twenty-three, Polygon announced its most ambitious transformation: Polygon 2.0, the vision of becoming not just a scaling solution, but the value layer of the internet.
The proposal was audacious even for a giant: a network of interconnected ZK blockchains, each sovereign in its operation, all connected by the same unified liquidity. Not one chain to rule them all, but a fabric where each chain is its own realm, and value flows between them like water between lakes connected by invisible underground channels.
The MATIC token, which had carried the weight of growth since the beginning, began its transformation into POL: the token of the new vision. More flexible. Capable of staking across multiple chains simultaneously. Designed for the universe that Polygon 2.0 would inhabit.
Jotunheim ceased to be merely Midgard's support. It became a mesh sustaining multiple worlds. Ymir was no longer the giant sustaining one god. He was the network of subterranean roots, invisible, essential, feeding the entire forest of Yggdrasil.
And those with eyes to see recognized: the foundation had grown larger than the structure it sustained. And that is the sign that something will, inevitably, become indispensable.
