When Empires Take Notice
Institutions do not enter where there is fragility: giants recognize stability
Institutions do not enter where there is fragility. They arrive late, but when they arrive, they arrive with weight that redefines the territory. And when the weight of mortal empires began to land on Polygon, it became clear that Jotunheim had ceased to be an experiment.
Stripe, a payments company that processes trillions per year, integrated Polygon for USDC payments. Mastercard launched an NFT program on Polygon. JPMorgan used Polygon in institutional DeFi experiments within Project Onyx. Not startups. Not speculators. The same names that define the traditional financial system choosing to build on the giant.
The narrative had inverted. At first, it was necessary to convince the market that blockchain had utility. Then, to convince it that Ethereum was the right blockchain. Now, Polygon dealt with demand that arrived without needing explanation. Global brands no longer asked *"what is blockchain?"* They asked: *"what is the SLA? What is the cost per transaction? What is the uptime?"*
These were infrastructure questions. And infrastructure was exactly what Ymir had built, with serious technical documentation, support partnerships, and a stable operation history.
Giants recognize stability. And stability, in the corporate world, is the most expensive form of reputation.
