The Test of Real Weight
DeFi grew, NFTs emerged, users en masse: the structure held
DeFi grew. NFTs exploded. Users arrived in waves. OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace, migrated significant volume to Polygon. Reddit, with its 50 million active users, launched its *Collectible Avatars* on Polygon in two thousand and twenty-two, one of the largest onboardings of users onto any blockchain ever witnessed. Not speculators. Ordinary users who had never touched crypto before.
The mortal empires began to perceive what Midgard's purists still debated. Disney included Polygon in its accelerator program. Starbucks built its *Odyssey* loyalty program on Polygon, causing ordinary customers to interact with blockchain every time they accumulated coffee points, without even knowing it. Meta integrated Polygon NFTs into Instagram. DraftKings built its NFT marketplace on the giant.
These were not speculative experiments. They were infrastructure decisions by companies that process billions of transactions per year. Companies that do not bet on narrative. They bet on operational capacity. That ask not *"what is blockchain?"* but *"what is the SLA? What is the cost per transaction? What is the uptime?"*
The structure held. Ymir did not need to be celebrated. It was enough that the world did not crack under real weight.
And the world did not crack.
