Twelfth Canto: The Bitcoin Bridge
TRON connects with Bitcoin, creating a bridge between the old world and the new.
Olympus stood before a constellation of realms. Odin guarded Bitcoin, whose issuance declined in stages without automatically reducing existing supply. Thor guarded Ethereum, its contracts and applications. Zeus guarded TRON, with growing payment paths. Coexistence did not require any of them to stop improving their tools.
The first wrapped Bitcoin bridges from Bitcoin to TRON were modest in volume. But they grew. Bitcoin HODLers, those who had accumulated digital wealth over years or decades, suddenly had access to yield. They could lend their Bitcoin on TRON, earn interest, and maintain full custody of their private keys. For the first time, the world's most valuable cryptocurrency could function in a modern financial system.
The implications rippled through the cryptocurrency world. Ethereum followed, creating wrapped Ethereum tokens on TRON. Solana, Polygon, and other blockchains recognized that they did not need to be competitors to TRON's infrastructure. They could connect to it. They could benefit from its liquidity and speed. What had been a fragmented ecosystem began to show signs of coherence.
TRON was no longer a young upstart challenging the establishment. It had become the connective tissue that held the blockchain world together. Bitcoin's security, Ethereum's smart contract capability, TRON's speed and efficiency, now they could all work together.
By 2025, the concept of siloed blockchains had become obsolete. A user could hold Bitcoin, deploy smart contracts on Ethereum, and execute transactions on TRON all within the same ecosystem. The blockchain wars had ended not in victory for one side, but in integration. TRON, having proven itself the most useful and accessible, had become the practical hub around which the others orbited.
Integration is the final stage of any technology: when it becomes too useful to ignore.
