Thirteenth Canto: The Prophecy Fulfilled
TRON expands activity in 2023–2024 amid controversy around its founder
In 2021, Sun became Grenada’s representative to the World Trade Organization. His tenure ended in 2023. Zeus had reached a new negotiating table, but laws and disputes still followed his bearer. No diplomatic seat turned every border into an open door.
In late 2023, TRON passed 200 million created accounts. These were recorded addresses, not a count of distinct people or daily users. Zeus saw the roads’ extent; understanding their movement still required observing activity along them.
But the greatest fulfillment was in Africa, in South Asia, in Latin America. In these regions, TRON had become not a speculative asset, but a financial utility. A young woman in Kenya, without a bank account but with a phone, could now save money in USDT or USDD on TRON, could access credit against her savings, could build a business. A rural farmer could access futures markets without needing to travel to a city. A small merchant could receive payments from anywhere on earth within seconds.
Travelers heard criticism of concentrated power and followed the proceedings against Sun. They also assessed cost, availability and services. TRC-20 was the token standard; TRON was the network carrying them. Each crossing required knowing both the road’s usefulness and its limits.
By 2025, the prophecy had become habit. No one even called it blockchain anymore. They called it a payment system. They called it financial infrastructure. They called it normal. And that ordinariness was Zeus's ultimate victory.
The greatest measure of success is when your innovation becomes invisible through ubiquity.
