Canto VII: A Grande Cisão
At block 1,920,000, a hard fork changes DAO-related state; the chain without that intervention continues as Ethereum Classic

At block 1,920,000, on 20 July 2016, the hard fork introduced an exceptional state change enabling recovery of DAO-related funds. It did not erase old blocks or turn back the network’s clock. The chain adopting the intervention continued as Ethereum; the chain rejecting it continued as Ethereum Classic. Both share their pre-split history.
Borr witnessed the exact moment. And for the first time in all the eternity of his existence, the oldest of gods wept. Not from sadness. From sacred fury. The same fury that consumes one who sees the sacred profaned. The same fury that transforms pain into purpose.
'Thor broke his word.' The words echoed through the ages of the cosmos. 'My grandson, son of my son, chose convenience over principle. And in doing so, something that took eras to build was wounded: the proof that code can be absolute.'
But then, in that very instant of rupture, in that exact moment when the chain divided, Borr did what only the most ancient ancestors can do. He descended. Not as Odin who chooses a mortal avatar. Not as Thor who blesses a chosen prince. As the foundation that refuses to disappear. As the principle that inhabits the fabric of reality when everyone else abandons it. Borr inhabited the chain that did not change. The one that refused the fork. The one that remained where it was when everyone else moved forward.
Not for glory. Not for power. For a single reason that transcends all others: because it was true. That chain received a new name: Ethereum Classic. The classic. The original. The memory no one asked to be kept, but which the ancestor himself chose to inhabit forever.
"Code is Law" havia se tornado "Code is Law, Exceto Quando Nós Não Gostamos."
