The Creative Explosion
Creation becomes permissionless: anyone can build
Midgard did not stop after the rupture. On the contrary. Something awakened. The fear had passed. The fall had taught. And the machine remained alive. Mortals began to perceive something new: they did not need to merely use the system. They could build within it.
The ERC-20 standard became the divine law of tokenized creation, like Thor distributing fragments of his power to any mortal with vision and code. New coins emerged. New projects were born. New promises were written. Contracts became economies. Ideas became tokens.
In 2017, the world saw what happens when creation becomes unrestricted: the ICO summer. Billions flowed. Projects were born weekly. Some were genuine innovation. Others, greed dressed as vision. But something irreversible had occurred: any mortal with an idea and code could create their own fragment of the kingdom.
It was pure fertility. Anyone could create. Anyone could experiment. Anyone could try. But where there is free creation… there is also excess. Fragile projects. Empty promises. Greed dressed as innovation. Mortals returned to confusing wealth with purpose.
But something irreversible had occurred: creation had become permissionless. It was no longer necessary to ask for authorization. It was no longer necessary to convince institutions. One simply needed to build. And if it was useful… it would remain. Midgard was no longer just a network. It was an ecosystem. A fertile field where the future could be tested in real time.
