Canto XII: O Ancestral Necessário
Ethereum Classic serve como espelho necessário: a pergunta 'E se não fosse?' que força a confrontar o poder da reescrita.
In Norse tradition, Borr is Odin’s father. That does not make Ethereum Classic older than Bitcoin or Ethereum’s launch. ETH and ETC share their 2015 origin and diverge at the 2016 split. The ancestor represents a principle, not a blockchain’s birth date.
Because without Ethereum Classic, without the existence of an alternative that refused to rewrite history, Ethereum would have only one mirror: itself. Only one path: forward. Only one answer when questioned about its choices: 'it was what needed to be done.'
But Ethereum Classic whispered, eternally whispered, a different question: 'What if it didn't?' That question alone was transformative. It forces you to confront the idea that good intentions justify any action. Forces you to consider that there are things worse than misfortune, and one of them is good fortune built on abandoned principles.
Ethereum Classic could never defeat Ethereum. Could never supersede it. Could never become the majority. But by remaining as an existing alternative, as philosophy embodied in an operational network, it offered something unique: a choice that cost dearly, that offered no easy wealth, but that offered what money cannot buy, coherence. Integrity. A promise kept.
Ethereum needed Ethereum Classic. Not for competition. But for complementarity. Ethereum was the construction of the future. Ethereum Classic was the foundation of the past. And it is precisely there, in that space of indifference and abandonment, that the true strength of Borr resides: what no one wants is what power cannot corrupt.
Aquilo que ninguém quer é aquilo que o poder não pode corromper.
