Canto X: Código É Lei
Ethereum Classic permanece como a encarnação viva de 'Code is Law', não como slogan, mas como realidade operacional.
But there was something Ethereum Classic carried that no other system could truly carry: the living embodiment of a philosophy.
'Code is Law' was not just a slogan in ETC. It was operational reality. It was the founding contract. It was the reason that chain existed in the first place.
Because in Ethereum, 'Code is Law' had become 'Code is Law, Until the Community Agrees That It Isn't.' And that is completely different. Completely viable for a project that wants to be practical. Completely unacceptable for a project whose sole reason for existing is to be unshakeable.
Ethereum Classic maintained immutability not because it was technically superior. But because it had decided there are things more important than efficiency. There is consistency. There is the promise. There is the agreement that you cannot simply rewrite the rules when they work against you.
It was Borr's whisper in every ETC validator: 'You promised. Even if you lose. Even if you bleed. You promised.' It is humbling. It is wise. And it is absolutely unpopular. But there was a small core of people who understood: that a philosophy is worth exactly nothing if you abandon it the moment it becomes inconvenient.
That was Borr's legacy. And it remained. Not because anyone venerated it. But because it was true.
Uma filosofia vale exatamente zero se você a abandona no momento em que fica inconveniente.
