The Test of Chaos
Loki tests the mortals by separating conviction from greed
The flame grew. More mortals saw it. More hands touched it. More voices spoke of the invisible gold, but where there is light… those who do not understand approach for the wrong reasons. Those who sought quick wealth came. Those who sought power came. Those who saw the gold only as an instrument of gain came.
Conviction began to mix with greed. And when that happens… Loki moves. Not as enemy, but as test. He does not destroy the true. He exposes the false.
Prices began to rise like fire in dry straw. Expectations inflated; promises returned. Mortals believed they had discovered a shortcut to wealth. And then… the ground gave way. Violent falls, deep losses. Fear spreading like cold wind.
Those who sought only profit departed. Those who sought only safety abandoned. Those who did not understand the Law gave up, but some remained. Not because they did not feel pain, but because they understood: the flame does not depend on price. Truth does not depend on euphoria. The system does not depend on the approval of mortals.
Each fall purified; each winter revealed. Each cycle separated: those who believed in the system from those who believed only in gain. And so the network grew stronger. Not through the absence of chaos, but because it survived it.
That which cannot withstand chaos was never true.
